EP Commodities, a.s (EPC), a part of Energetický a prùmyslový holding, a.s. (EPH group) specializing in trading of power, gas, coal and emissions is looking for a colleague to join its Analysis & business support team at position:
Quantitative Analyst (Energy Markets)

EPC is one of the most significant trading companies in CEE region and trading hub for the entire EPH group. We focus on physical trade and market access in the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Netherlands, Hungary, Austria and UK.

About your job

o Analysis of energy markets focusing on the European power, gas, oil and emission industry
o Developing models - helping traders formulate, refine and backtest trading ideas and trading strategies
o Providing commercial/market information to the traders and management as necessary -including ability to synthetize gathered information into clear and concise presentations
o Close cooperation within EPH group on various analytical tasks

Your skills and knowledge

o Bachelor’s (equivalent) degree or higher in economics/mathematics/IT
o Excellent analytical skills and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas
o Computer programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Java, C #, VBA, etc.)
o Knowledge of MS Office tools with emphasis on MS Excel
o Fluent English, another European language is an advantage
o The ability and desire to work in fast-paced challenging environment
o A highly self-driven sense of motivation
o Work experience in a trading house, energy/utility, or analytics provider is an advantage
o International business travel maybe required
